Spencer is a reporter and Multi-Media Journalist at FOX 13 News.
Before coming to Utah, Spencer had been working in news for about 5 years doing pretty much every job in a newsroom.
He started at KUSI news in San Diego as a part-time writer and worked his way up over the course of two years. Spencer then moved to Action News Now NBC24/CBS12 in Redding and Chico where he covered some of the largest and most destructive wildfires in the country.
During these fires he worked 20-hour days to stay on the front lines and covered not only some of the most tragic but also the most uplifting stories of support for those who lost everything. Spencer also worked as a weekend anchor before his departure.
Spencer started at FOX 13 News in January of 2020 and enjoys telling all the stories of Utah.
He grew up in Southern California and got his bachelor's degree from Cal State San Marcos in Political Science.
In his free time, Spencer loves photography and will frequently be out hiking trails with his camera to get the best shots.
